研究方向
儿童智力发育迟缓和老年人群中的神经退行性疾病是常见多发的神经系统疾病,目前人们对其复杂的发病机理知之甚少,缺乏有效的治疗手段,是生物医学领域里未解的难题。对神经发育,突触形成和维持,神经递质的传递和神经环路形成过程中关键分子及分子事件的研究是解开难题的核心。我们主要运用生物化学与分子生物学,细胞生物学,结构生物学,生物信息学和遗传学等方法与手段,通过对细胞内蛋白质的表达调控,蛋白质之间的相互作用,蛋白质和RNA等生物大分子在细胞内的转运以及相应细胞生理生化功能的研究,来揭示神经发育与退化过程的分子机制,探讨智力发育迟缓和神经退行性性疾病的发病机理,寻找新的治疗手段。
