Research Interests
Our research group focuses on the rational design of vaccines and antibodies for viruses that pose significant threats to public health, such as HIV-1 and SARS-CoV-2. We employ structure-based and AI-driven approaches to design antigens and validate their immunogenicity through in vitro assays and preclinical animal models. By studying the interactions and co-evolution of viral surface glycoproteins and neutralizing antibodies, we aim to enhance the antiviral activity of these antibodies for potential clinical use. Our long-term goal is to develop effective interventions that can prevent and treat existing viral infections, while also preparing for emerging pathogens.
