Research interests: pathogenesis of cardiovascular diseases
Cardiovascular disease is the number one killer of human health, seriously affecting people's life quality and threatening human life and health, and the morbidity is increasing year by year. Until now, the pathogenesis of cardiovascular diseases is not fully understood. The Yuxuan Luo lab focuses on the pathogenesis of cardiovascular diseases. We use approaches that span biomedical disciplines, integrating genetics in lab models, tissue culture and multi-omics. Our work has yielded exciting insights about the roles of signaling pathways, transcriptional regulation, protein post-translational modifications and mitochondrial metabolism in cardiac hypertrophy and myocardial injury.
