Biography

Dr. Lei Zhang obtained her Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Ph.D. degrees in 2009, 2012, and 2015 from Nanjing Normal University, Xiamen University, and Nanjing University, respectively. In 2017, he joined Nanjing Tech University, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship in the Biophysics Department at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU) in Germany, funded by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, from 2018 to 2021. In August 2024, he became a faculty member of the School of Life Sciences and Technology at Southeast University.

Research Projects

Dr. Zhang has led research projects, including:

· Youth and General Research Grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC)

· Youth Research Grant from the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Science and Technology

· Jiangsu Province Dual-Innovation Doctoral Program

· General Research Grant for Natural Sciences from Jiangsu Higher Education Institutions

 

Research Interests

1. Fluorescent Molecular Probes and Biosensing

2. Single-Molecule Photophysics and Super-Resolution Fluorescence Imaging

 

Representative Publications

Dr. Zhang has published over 20 papers as first and/or corresponding author in prestigious international journals, including Angewandte Chemie International Edition, Advanced Materials, Chemical Science, Biomaterials, and Analytical Chemistry.
